Store availability03 / OUR CULTURE
It starts with a car.
It stays with you.
For the ones who get it.
A familiar engine note. A favourite generation. A part you finally found. The VW world is full of small things that mean a lot.
VDubs Culture is about sharing that appreciation, whether you’re an experienced owner, planning your first project, or simply enjoying the scene.
The cars bring us here.
The culture keeps us coming back.
GOOD TO KNOW
A few things
before you join.
Which Volkswagens are covered?
The current 25 model profiles cover Beetle / Type 1, T1 / Split-screen, T2 / Bay Window, Type 3, Karmann Ghia, Golf Mk1–Mk8, Polo Mk1–Mk6, Scirocco Mk1–Mk3, Corrado, Jetta Mk1–Mk2 and Passat B1–B2. The learning library spans these model families; availability and detail vary by course and model.
Can I add more than one car?
Yes. Keep multiple vehicles in your garage, each with its own information, maintenance dates and photo. A free account lets you save vehicle photos and sync garage records across devices. Guest records are stored in the current browser.
How do certificates work?
Complete a course’s requirements to earn its certificate. Academy courses require every published lesson and at least 80% in the assessment. The free interactive Beetle course requires all six lessons and all six review answers correct. Earned certificates are saved to your account’s My certificates folder, where you can view them online or download a PDF later.
Certificates record enthusiast learning. They are not accredited qualifications or evidence of professional mechanical competence.
Are the owner manuals free?
All 25 original VDubs Culture owner manuals are included at no extra charge for Premium members. They are not part of Free Explorer and are not official Volkswagen factory workshop manuals.
Will I receive automatic maintenance reminders?
The garage displays the dates you enter and due-date indicators for service, tax, insurance and optional MOT or inspection. It does not currently send automatic push notifications or email reminders. You remain responsible for checking and meeting your vehicle’s requirements.
How do billing, cancellation and refunds work?
The current app plans are £4.99 monthly, £39.99 annually and £99.99 lifetime. Monthly and annual plans are recurring; lifetime is a one-off option subject to the app terms. No payments are taken here. Before buying at launch, review the published store price, renewal, cancellation and refund conditions. Do not assume store pricing or purchase availability from this preview.
Where can I download the app?
The intended download channels are the App Store for iPhone and Google Play for Android. Neither store listing is linked here yet. The buttons clearly show Coming soon and do not start a download. Store availability is not confirmed until the listings are live.
Can the learning replace a mechanic?
No. VDubs Culture is independent enthusiast education. Vehicle-specific specifications, safety procedures and professional judgement still matter. Use suitable official documentation and a qualified professional for safety-critical work. Certificates are records of enthusiast learning, not professional accreditation.
